ACWHE’s Membership Structure:
Requirements:
Membership shall consist of administrators, faculty, staff, and graduate students in higher education in Arkansas, together with those supportive of women in higher education in Arkansas. Membership in ACHWE is voluntary. Membership shall not be denied or abridged based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, ability, sexual orientation, or lifestyle.
Membership Term:
The annual membership period shall be from July 1 through June 30.
Membership Types:
- Professional
- Graduate Student
- Institutional
Professional: Professional is defined as any person (faculty or staff) in the state of Arkansas employed at least part-time at an institution of higher education. Professional members may serve as an officer, on standing committees, or other recognized groups. Dues are $40 annually.
Graduate Student: A graduate student is defined as any person in the state of Arkansas enrolled in a graduate program at an institution of higher education. Recent graduates (having graduated within the last 12 months) from a 2-year or 4-year degree-granting institution of higher education or higher education graduate program and who are not currently employed part-time or full-time at a higher education institution. The graduate student membership intends to provide access to the organization for students who are paying out-of-pocket. If you meet the definition of a professional and student, please select the professional rate. Graduate students members can ONLY serve as an officer as a graduate student representative on the Executive Board; as well as, serve on standing committees, or other recognized groups. Dues are $20 annually.
Membership Special for 2024
If an institution has has 10 women join at $40 each, ACWHE is giving two memberships for free! That is 12 memberships for the price of 10. To complete this membership bundle purchase, email a list of 12 names and institutional emails to info@achwe.org and an invoice will be emailed to you. Payment link is below.
If an institution wants to have an institutional membership that allows for all women (employees and graduate students) to enjoy ACWHE benefits, institutions can join for $1,000 (with this special, memberships will extend until July 1, 2025. ) To complete the membership bundle purchase, email info@achwe.org with a contact person for the institution who will share ACWHE information with institutional members. An invoice will be emailed to you. Payment link is below.
All of these membership specials will be honored through our conference February 29, 2024.
Overview:
Individual membership: $40, expires July 1, 2025
Graduate student membership: $20, expires July 1, 2025
Group membership: 12 memberships for the price of 10 – $400, expires July 1, 2025
Institutional membership (for all women employees and graduate students): $1,000, expires July 1, 2025
